Edgelands

The Edgelands are very similar to the Village at first glance, but they have slipped the kings grasp. As such, they are collective (not self-oriented or individual) but resist together the Solar associations of order, tradition, centralisation and control.

In practice, think of a rebel village that supports Robin Hood and is a little too far away from the city to control; or a village which still practices the Old Ways, normal in terms of its friendly pub and post office, but strange in its rejection of normal religion and morality.

Woodland's Edge

The human village and the edge of the woodland. Contrasting the Solar of the human world with the Lunar of elves, fairies, witchcraft and the wonderful.

The Hillside

The open Hillside where land touches the sky, and the horizon. If the Solar village represents the center of a human life, then this hillside is things that stand just outside it. It can be both young and older people - approaching or leaving the city, getting some needed time outside to think, reflecting on how they have been raised or how they have lived and rejecting it, a sense of curiosity, a desire to explore, a teenage restlessness and frustration, or a twilight-years wisdom (or attempt to escape before it's too late). The hillside is human borderbrinks; the Wanderer is not yet in the wilderness.

This frequency likes a blustery breeze which blows the cobwebs aways and makes you feel all fresh; its food is a simple picnic eaten after a bracing walk, how good plain bread and cheese can taste after a morning spent in the hills.

The Heavens

The place where clouds and celestial bodies are, but especially when it is of an otherworldly and magical character. When it joins the ☉ of the light of the literal sun with the ☽ of the literal moon, it is all the varying brilliances of the sky - the dawn, the rainbow, pink clouds, the dreaminess of indigo moonlight. And joining the ☽ of the sky and fresh waters with the ☉ heats which move water about - drifting winds, air currents, seeming cities in the sky.

It is insubstantial and mercurial, the cheekiness of pointing out that suns are stars and moonlight is sunlight so what is there to choose between them - if these lights are power then they can be wielded as a single source.

The meeting place between the physical materials of 🜃 and the transformations of 🜂 is ᚠ - things processed into new things by the application of a person's work and thought.
