The Wanderer at the Center of the Cosmos

There's actually void portal under the football club in [redacted], which I discovered midway through dancing to what I thought was Joy Division (though I've yet to identify the song; perhaps that came through the portal too). Swaying among the odd balloon in a mostly empty ballroom, I started considering the mirrorball as a Lunar presence - reflecting and splitting an artificial light - when suddenly the dancefloor opened a chasm beneath me, and I fell out of time and space. Shortly afterwards, both eardrums blew, and several weeks later are still buzzing as punishment for such temerity - but for you, dear reader, I came back with some diagrams.

Just before I was hit by such an almighty wall of guitar that it punted me through into the otherworlds, I was pondering - as ever - how to get a satisfying Middle Pillar going, given that Landcraft does not operate like that in the slightest but the Middle Pillar objectively works and I like it a lot. I've made any number of attempts. But sketching out some diagrams of how the energy seemed to have travelled, made it quite clear.

Oh dear reader, this stuff seems so simple once you've cracked it. That tradition of there being light above is so hard to break, and i fussed about with it for ages. But it's like this.

The light begins within us, because it is Solar: in many ways, we are the Solar's embodiment. Its closely intertwined with our worldview and sense of safety and self. Outside that is a ring of Lunar. Feet, hands, head, crotch: the things which allow us action, motion and change. If we are to become Lunar or do Lunar or enact Lunar on the world, it's going to be with those parts. Five points imply the pentagram, a Lunar symbol associated with the doing of magic. Lunar is the boundary and the crossing of boundaries, and on a personal level, it's this energy which constitutes 'a personal circle' or the sorts of energy one points outwards to use. The further away we travel, the more Stellar it becomes. And so our energetic routine, establishing our energetic body, includes stretching our awareness outward to approach it (trying to not get too dizzy or break your ears) - its underearth, deepwoods and deepdark of all kinds.

I've tried to express that the Solar-Lunar-Stellar pattern travels outward no matter the element - into sky and into land. The left of the image is warm (what's often called Solar-Stellar in the notes) and the right of the image is cold (what's often called the Solar-Lunar, Lunar, Lunar-Stellar sort of path). In this image, fire is probably analogised to the Solar of the body which means water is the outer-darkness, in the typical correspondence where deep ocean is similar to deep space, deep memory and deep time.

I regret not really thinking about what colours the body and circle ought to be. I suppose the body itself is probably Solar-fire colours (yellows, reds, oranges) and the circle lunarish whites and silvers, but I'm not ready to risk it yet until I'm sure. I've not yet decided whether the Solar of the body is centered on the Solar plexus or the heart; I think the Solar plexus, as I do tai chi and that's the store of energy in that work, and besides it feels a bit more fullsome and satisfied and complete than the wilfulness and wanting of the heart.
